About Warnemünde
The seaside resort Warnemuende is a district of the Hanseatic and University City of Rostock. It is one of Germany‘s most popular seaside resorts and destination for big cruise liners from all over the world.
The previous fishing village has successfully managed the balancing act between tradition and modern age: landmarks as the 30 metres high lighthouse erected in 1898 and the Teepott (tea pot) known beyond frontiers, the modern boulevard at the Alter Strom (old stream) and the modern beach promenade attract numerous guests every year.
Equally appealing is the historic town centre and the lovingly restored fishermen’s cottages and the fine sand Baltic Sea beach.
Warnemuende’s tourist information is only a few metres away from the WIROtel and provides information on everything worth knowing about the Baltic seaside resort.
